Welcome to the Bourne Connection!

Andrea Bourne has been a French, Spanish, and social studies instructor and department chair in K-12 and college for more than two decades. Additionally, she brings unique experience in the area of language assessment development and program evaluation. She has also served in various administrative positions, including as a college instructor, assessment director, institutional research analyst, an associate vice-president supervising cradle-to-grave course development, assessment, professional development, and accreditation metrics for a 12-campus institution including an online branch and an additional 6-12 college preparatory school. She has been an online educator since 1999 and involved in distance learning since 1993. Andrea has earned degrees in French, psychology, political science, and education, most recently reaching an ABD specializing in psychometrics and linguistics. She holds state certifications in French, Spanish, and social studies, elementary through high school, in Georgia, Florida, Hawaii and North Carolina with an ESOL endorsement in Georgia, Florida, and Hawaii and an Online Teaching Endorsement in Georgia as well. Andrea, her husband Steve, and their three teenagers love to travel, cook, read, write, volunteer, play music, garden, and play games.
